Optional extras

Listed below is a selection of optional extras that can be added to your tour. Just select which options you want to add to your booking when you reserve your tour, or alternatively just let us know and we'll add them to your booking. Further options are also available when you get to Egypt (such as Sound & Light shows, dinner cruises, scuba-diving courses).

  • Single Supplement - UK£0

Single room supplement

  • Patan and Bhaktapur day trip - UK£40

This option gives you a chance to tour the ancient cities of Patan and Bhaktapur during a free day in Kathmandu. Situated on the outskirts of Kathmandu these areas are full of character and you see plenty of temples, stupas and old wooden buildings as well as enjoying the bustling local life.
The tour lasts for a full day and includes private transport and the services of a professional local tour guide.

  • Extra day in Kathmandu - pre-tour - UK£28

This option adds an extra free day in Kathmandu to the start of your tour. The price includes one night in a Standard level hotel (normally the Shanker hotel), breakfast, all taxes, and your arrival airport transfer if required.

  • Extra day in Kathmandu - post-tour - UK£28

This option adds an extra free day in Kathmandu to the end of your tour. The price includes one night in a Standard level hotel (normally the Shanker hotel), breakfast, all taxes, and your departure airport transfer if required.

  • Chitwan Wildlife Safari Extension - Standard lodge - UK£0

Leaving either Kathmandu or Pokhara on the second last day of the tour, this option adds a 3 day/3-night wildlife safari in the Royal Chitwan National Park to your tour.
Staying in one of our Standard level lodges (eg. Island Jungle Resort), we include a jeep safari, jungle walk, river-canoe trip, elephant ride, tour and a cultural program in one of Asia's most famous national parks. All park activities and entrance fees are included.
This option gives you more than 2 full days in Chitwan, giving you a better chance to see as much wildlife as possible and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere here, and will add 3 days to the overall length of your tour. The price includes your return journey by superior tourist coach to Kathmandu (approx. 6 hours) and one night there. A single room supplement will be added if required, and the Kathamandu-Chitwan, and Chitwan-Kathmandu journeys can be upgraded to internal flights if you prefer.

  • Everest Mountain Flight - UK£125

This flight leaves from Kathmandu and lasts for around an hour, taking you up towards Everest and the surrounding high peaks. You can even get glimpses of the high Tibetan plateau. The planes have larger than normal clear windows, and window seats are guaranteed. You can book and pay for this flight in advance, or while you are in Nepal. As flight departures are weather dependent, we aim to book one of the first flights of the morning. This means a very early start, but gives you the best chance of getting clear weather all the way, and means the rest of your day's itinerary is less likely to be affected by any delays.
