Optional extras

Listed below is a selection of optional extras that can be added to your tour. Just select which options you want to add to your booking when you reserve your tour, or alternatively just let us know and we'll add them to your booking. Further options are also available when you get to Egypt (such as Sound & Light shows, dinner cruises, scuba-diving courses).

Single Room Supplement - UK£180

If you want to guarantee yourself a single room throughout the tour, then we need to add a single supplement charge.
If you are a single traveller joining one of our Standard level group tours, then if you are happy to, you may share a twin room with another single traveller on the tour of the same sex. If there are no other single travellers available for you to pair up with at the time of your booking, then we will need to add the single supplement to your tour price, but will refund this or deduct it from your balance payment if we are able to pair you up later on.
Note: We cannot guarantee single rooms in the trekking lodges.
Note: Couples will always be given a private double room, and triple/family rooms are available on request.

Patan and Bhaktapur day trip - UK£40

This option gives you a chance to tour the ancient cities of Patan and Bhaktapur during a free day in Kathmandu. Situated on the outskirts of Kathmandu these areas are full of character and you see plenty of temples, stupas and old wooden buildings as well as enjoying the bustling local life.

The tour lasts for a full day and includes private transport and the services of a professional local tour guide.

Extra day in Kathmandu - pre-tour - UK£28

This option adds an extra free day in Kathmandu to the start of your tour. The price includes one night in a Standard level hotel (normally the Shanker hotel), breakfast, all taxes, and your arrival airport transfer if required.

Extra day in Kathmandu - post-tour - UK£28

This option adds an extra free day in Kathmandu to the end of your tour. The price includes one night in a Standard level hotel (normally the Shanker hotel), breakfast, all taxes, and your departure airport transfer if required.

Bhote Kosi Rafting Trip - UK£0

For those wishing to take the rafting to a higher level, or those short of time, this 2 day/1 night rafting option takes you to one of Nepal’s steepest and most technical white water rivers. This grade IV-IV+ river is just 3 hours from Kathmandu, starting close to the Tibetan border, and makes an excellent adrenaline filled extension to your tour. The night is spent camping on beaches on the banks of the river, so you will need a sleeping bag (available to hire in Kathmandu).

This option starts on the last day of our set tour itineraries and includes one night rafting and one night in the hotel in Kathmandu after you finish, overall adding add two days to the total length of your tour.

Everest Mountain Flight - UK£125

This flight leaves from Kathmandu and lasts for around an hour, taking you up towards Everest and the surrounding high peaks. You can even get glimpses of the high Tibetan plateau.

The planes have larger than normal clear windows, and window seats are guaranteed.

You can book and pay for this flight in advance, or while you are in Nepal.

Chitwan to Kathmandu flight upgrade - UK£0

This option allows you to upgrade the overland journey from Chitwan National Park back to Kathmandu (approx. 6-7 hours) to an internal flight. The price includes taxes and all transfers.

Payment for this flight is to be made in Kathmandu at the start of the tour.

Kathmandu to Pokhara flight upgrade - UK£0

With this option you can choose to fly from Kathmandu to Pokhara instead of travelling overland (approx. 6-7 hours).

The price includes taxes and all transfers.

Payment for these flights is to be made in Kathmandu at the start of your tour.
