Listed below is a selection of optional extras that can be added to your tour. Just select which options you want to add to your booking when you reserve your tour, or alternatively just let us know and we'll add them to your booking. Further options are also available when you get to Nepal (such as Everest mountain flight, Kathmandu city tour, rafting or safari extensions).
If you want to guarantee yourself a single room throughout the tour, then we need to add a single supplement charge.
If you are a single traveller joining a group tour, then if you are happy to, you may share a twin room with another single traveller on the tour of the same sex. If there are no other single travellers available for you to pair up with at the time of your booking, then we will need to add the single supplement to your tour price, but will refund this or deduct it from your balance payment if we are able to pair you up later on.
Note: We cannot guarantee single rooms in the trekking lodges during peak seasons. If you are happy to share a room on the trek, but require a single for the rest of the tour, a reduced supplement is available - please contact us for details.
Note: Couples will always be given a private double room, and triple/family rooms are available on request.

The tour lasts for a full day and includes private transport and the services of a professional local tour guide.

This option adds an extra free day in Kathmandu to the end of your tour. The price includes one night in a Standard level hotel (normally the Shanker hotel), breakfast, all taxes, and your departure airport transfer if required.
Leaving either Kathmandu or Pokhara on the second last day of the tour, this option adds a 3 day/3-night wildlife safari in the Royal Chitwan National Park to your tour.
Staying in one of our Standard level lodges (eg. Island Jungle Resort), we include a jeep safari, jungle walk, river-canoe trip, elephant ride, tour and a cultural program in one of Asia's most famous national parks. All park activities and entrance fees are included.
This option gives you more than 2 full days in Chitwan, giving you a better chance to see as much wildlife as possible and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere here, and will add 3 days to the overall length of your tour. The price includes your return journey by superior tourist coach to Kathmandu (approx. 6 hours) and one night there. A single room supplement will be added if required, and the Kathamandu-Chitwan, and Chitwan-Kathmandu journeys can be upgraded to internal flights if you prefer.
For those wishing to take the rafting to a higher level, or those short of time, this 2 day/1 night rafting option takes
you to one of Nepal’s steepest and most technical white water rivers. This grade IV-IV+ river is just 3 hours from Kathmandu, starting close to the Tibetan border, and makes an excellent adrenaline filled extension to your tour. The night is spent camping on beaches on the banks of the river, so you will need a sleeping bag (available to hire in Kathmandu).
This option starts on the last day of our set tour itineraries and includes one night rafting and one night in the hotel in Kathmandu after you finish, overall adding add two days to the total length of your tour.
Leaving Kathmandu on the last day of the tour, this option adds a 3-night wildlife safari in Bardia National Park to your tour. Staying in Bardia Eco Lodge, we include a jeep safari, jungle walk, elephant ride, village tour and bird watching walk in one of Nepal's more remote national parks, where you have the best chance in the country of seeing tigers. All park activities and entrance fees are included, as well as one night in a hotel in Kathmandu on your return from Bardia.
This option gives you more than 2 full days in Bardia, so you can see as much wildlife as possible and enjoy the quiet & peaceful atmosphere here, and will add 4 days to the overall length of your tour. The price includes return flights between Kathmandu & Nepalganj and all transfers. A single traveller supplement will be added if required.
This flight leaves from Kathmandu and lasts for around an hour, taking you up towards Everest and the surrounding high peaks. You can even get glimpses of the high Tibetan plateau. The planes have larger than normal clear windows, and window seats are guaranteed.
We recommend that this option is booked in advance if you know you want to do it. As flight departures are weather dependent, we aim to book one of the first flights of the morning. This means a very early start, but gives you the best chance of getting clear weather all the way, and means the rest of your day's itinerary is less likely to be affected by any delays. You can also book this option while you are in Nepal, but it will be harder to secure one of the early flights.
This optional trekking pack provides a selection of equipment that you may want to use during your trek but not buy in advance or carry with you to Nepal. The trekking pack includes:
- 3 or 4-season sleeping bag - You need to have a sleeping bag on all our trekking tours. We provide a 3 or 4-season bag (depending on your date of travel) which is washed between every use. We suggest you bring a sleeping bag liner for extra comfort.
- trekking poles - These provide extra support and assistance when walking up and down the many hills you’ll be crossing during your trek and will take a lot of the strain off tired knees and legs.
- down jacket - These thick warm jackets are particularly welcome during cooler seasons and in the evenings at higher altitudes after you have finished walking for the day.
