In order to provide a wide range of choice for our clients we have divided our
tours into 3 categories - Economy, Standard and Superior. A description of each
level is given below. The nature
of many of our tours is such that accommodation can be limited simply by its availability,
eg whilst trekking, rafting or on safari. We therefore use these catagories as
a reflection of the tour as a whole, including accommodation, transport, meals,
and added extras.
Economy
Our economy level tours are aimed at those who wish to travel on a budget, and also cover tours where the level of the accommodation on the majority of the tour is low (for example, most trekking tours, where only basic lodges or camping are available). The level of our service to you remains the same as for our other levels. We also include
all your transfers and provide fully trained local guides to take you around the sites of
interest.
We mainly use high quality public transport like air-conditioned coaches
and first class trains, and some private transport where necessary.
Standard
Our standard tours have been designed to provide a high level of service and
comfort at affordable prices. They are ideal for families, groups and individuals
who are looking for an active style of holiday but who don’t want to pay the higher
prices of our superior tours. All these tour packages are based on 3 to 4-star
hotel accommodation in Kathmandu, with a mix of private and public transport. Some more basic accommodation may be included while trekking or rafting, but this will not make up the majority of the tour. We also provide fully trained guides to act as your guide and tour leader throughout the
tour.
Superior
These superior tours have been designed to offer you our highest level of quality and
service. They are aimed at those looking to enjoy the experience of travel, with
all the luxury and comfort available. Each tour includes private transport,
internal flights where applicable, all transfers, entrance fees to sites
of interest, and fully qualified local guides who will accompany you throughout
the tour. On the rare occasions when we need to use public transport it is always of
the best standard available. Accommodation is based on the highest quality hotels and lodges available, such as the Yak & Yeti hotel in Kathmandu, and Tiger Tops lodges in Chitwan and Bardia National Parks.
ACCOMMODATION
The following links take you to pages listing the accommodation used on our tours
in each respective country. They are grouped into categories ranging from A (highest) to E (lowest) based on their level of facilities and services. Wherever possible
we have tried to maintain consistency in categories and across countries.
