We understand the importance of providing the highest level of protection to our clients whilst they are travelling abroad on one of our holidays. We fully comply with the EU package travel regulations and work very hard to reduce, and wherever possible eliminate, the inherent risks associated with adventure travel.
Tour operator's insurance
Uncover the World Limited holds a Tour Operators Combined Liability Insurance policy issued by Vantage. This policy provides Public/Products Liability, Professional Indemnity, and Employers Liability cover, and has been designed especially for tour operators like ourselves and has been approved by the Travel Trust Association. Therefore all tours & travel services that we, Uncover the World Limited, offer through our websites are covered by our tour operator's liability insurance.
You will also benefit from backup from our United Kingdom-based operations centre should it be needed.
This is not a travel insurance policy therefore you will still need to arrange personal travel insurance before you join one of our tours. We also provide comprehensive financial security to any travellers booking with us.
Remember to check other liability insurance details when considering buying travel services from local operators.
Health & safety
We take health & safety issues very seriously, and we actively work to reduce the risks involved with the type of adventure holidays we run. We make regular inspections of hotels and other accommodation we use on our holidays, including thorough risk assessment reports where appropriate. We also do regular inspections of the boats we use, both when provided by us and when provided by our local suppliers. We check to make sure that all vehicles used for your transportation are legally roadworthy, properly registered, and insured, and that the drivers are correctly licensed.
We ensure that all the local operators we use are properly registered and legally allowed to operate to the extent of the local laws of the countries concerned, and wherever possible are correctly insured in respect to liability insurance.
However, our booking conditions make it clear that we will only accept a client's booking on the understanding that they accept, appreciate and understand the possible risks of adventure travel and that they agree to take these risks of their own free-will. Also that, in many areas in which the Company operates, standards of hygiene, accommodation facilities, safety and law enforcement may be very poor or less than those in major western countries, to which the Client may be accustomed.
